Biography

I am currently 24 years old living in Eastern North Carolina with my family. I graduated from Chowan University with honors for a Bachelor's Degree in Studio Art-Painting. While painting is considered my concentration, I am also skilled in other areas as well. I have written poetry in the past and have received awards for it. I also do rather well with drawing, printmaking, and 3D Design. While I do not consider it one of my greater strengths I can also manage with Digital Media as well.

Awards

I was also selected by the faculty at my university to represent the Art Department by giving a speech for a Women's History event at Chowan University.
Valedictorian of my High School Class.
Voted "Most Talented" among my peers during High School.
Won 3rd place in a National Poetry Contest and was honored by being nominated for one of the best poets of 2007 in an online contest at poetry.com.
Chosen by my Advisor to participate in the Chowan University Undergraduate Research Conference that is held annually at my school.
I also received an award from Jostens Yearbook Publishing commemorating a job well done while serving as the yearbook advisor at a local High School.
Awarded the "Outstanding Graduate in Visual Arts" award in 2009 by Chowan University.
Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Chowan University in 2009.
